In the heart of the Great Bear Rainforest, lies a chain of islands called the Broughton Archipelago. The jewel of this archipelago is Berry Island and here you will find a beautiful lodge, situated on the water's edge and surrounded by a thick pine forest.
- Arrive in this stunning archipelago by water taxi
- Stay in a floating lodge in the temperate rainforest
- Watch orcas break the blue waves of the Pacific Ocean
- Admire grizzly bears foraging for food in the estuaries
Getting to the island is already an adventure as it is done by water taxi. There is a good chance of spotting humpback whales and dolphins along the way. Once you arrive, you will be amazed by the view from your accommodation. This is the best coastal area in all of British Columbia for spotting orcas and grizzly bears.
The main house is floating on the water and has a comfortable lounge, dining room, bar, and large stone fireplace. Around the building is an extensive terrace, where you can enjoy amazing sunsets. A wooden boardwalk leads to your en-suite suite room. During your stay, experienced guides can take you on hiking and kayaking excursions through the wilderness.
