Where is Bruce Peninsula?

The Bruce Peninsula is located around four hours northwest of Toronto, in the province of Ontario. It forms part of the Niagara Escarpment – a UNESCO World Biosphere Reserve – and is home to Bruce Peninsula National Park and Fathom Five National Marine Park.

Things to see and do

The Grotto

Bruce Peninsula is best known for its vibrant blue waters and dramatic cliffs, especially around the Grotto – a sea cave with glowing turquoise pools that’s one of the most photographed spots in Canada. 

A scenic hike through the national park brings you to this natural marvel, where you can swim, sunbathe on the rocks, or simply take in the view.

Hiking trails 

This slice of paradise is home to a variety of stunning hiking trails. For a gentle excursion, stroll along the beautiful Georgian Bay trail or for a more adventurous feel head to Cyprus Lake and enjoy incredible views from the lookout. 

Kayaking

Scuba Diving

Dive into the clear, cold waters of Fathom Five National Marine Park to explore some of the best-preserved shipwrecks in the world. From shallow schooners perfect for beginners to deeper wrecks for seasoned divers, the underwater landscapes here are simply unforgettable.

Stargazing 

Bruce Peninsula is a designated Dark Sky Preserve, offering some of the clearest and most dazzling night skies in Canada. On a clear night, you can see the Milky Way stretch overhead and watch shooting stars light up the wilderness.

Tobermory
