Monterey Bay, California is a stunning location with a mild temperate and lots of family activities. It is even better when you can stay in a historic inn with high standards of hospitality. Not far from your hotel, you can find the street Cannery Row, made famous by the American author John Steinbeck’s classic book.
The inn has a lush green garden and from here you can spot sea otters and seals in Monterey Bay. Your hosts Suzanne and Rick serve wine and delicious hors d'oeuvres at five in the afternoon on the porch and there are cookies and milk available at bedtime. There is a self-contained cottage that is very suitable for families and only seven other rooms in the property, all furnished in unique styles.
The surrounding area includes interesting places to visit such as Carmel by the Sea (where Clint Eastwood was mayor) and the Monterey Bay Aquarium. You can visit downtown Monterey Fisherman’s Wharf for amazing places to eat or drive south along Highway 1 and view the Big Sur coastline.
