Hiking in Jasper National Park

One of the best ways to explore Jasper National Park is on foot. Enjoy beautiful scenery, flowers, and feel connected to nature. It is also an excellent way to see deer, elk, and sheep.

Enthusiastic guides

From the cool mist and waterfalls of Maligne Canyon to the high-altitude terrain and breathtaking vistas of Cavell Meadows, the Canadian Rockies has something for everyone to explore! The owners of this local business, Sean and Joy, have been hiking and climbing instructors in Jasper for many years. They are always eager to introduce others to this beautiful area.

A spectacular walk

This popular route begins on an old fire road at Maligne Lake. It is moderate to steep in places, with spectacular views along the way. Along the way, Joy tells more about the flora and fauna and Canadian history. If you pay close attention, you can spot all kinds of animals. The walk is about 10 to 12 kilometres long and goes up to 500/650 metres. You will start at 8:00 am and will be on the road for approximately six to eight hours.
