Stopover in Reykjavík
When you fly to the United States or Canada, you always have a stopover in Reykjavík. This way, you break up your flight time and aren't spending an incredibly long time on the plane. From London, it takes about 3 hours to fly to Reykjavík. You will then spend another five to eight hours on the way to the US or Canada. Because of this, you can choose to fly straight on to your final destination after a stopover of about 1.5 hours, or spend a few days in Iceland.
Explore the highlights of Reykjavík by enjoying everything the city has to offer - from local flavours and live music to steamy geothermal lagoons. You can also choose to explore outside the city of Reykjavík; Iceland is known as the 'land of fire and ice', and when you travel through its spectacular landscapes, you will soon understand why. There are endless waterfalls, beaches, lagoons and fjords to hike through and explore.
