It is a part of Glen Canyon National Recreation Area, about 14 kilometres south of the Grand Canyon, located in Page, Arizona. This sweeping bend in the both the canyon and river is one of the most visited and photographed destinations in Glen Canyon National Recreation Area, and for good reason! It is named due to the sharp curve that resembles an upside-down horseshoe.
