When is the best time to travel?
Despite the 1,500-metre altitude, the region has a desert climate. This means that there will be hot days and cold nights. Summer is the hottest season in Moab, Utah. If this is too extreme for you, you should rather arrive in the early spring or in autumn. The best activities will of course also depend on the time of year that you visit. Spring is the best time for hiking in order to avoid the heat.
Since the park is open all year round, a visit in winter can also be interesting. A light dusting of snow on the rocky arches adds a new element to the breathtaking landscape, and you will have less of a crowd as it is the park's quiet season. And for unique photography opportunities, or even just a drive along Scenic Drive, winter is a great option.
